The key principals of KS, have developed a broad network of exceptionally strong business relationships with companies that are involved with major projects in Canada.  A relationship based on trust, integrity, and results, KS has carefully nurtured these relationships (executives, governments, pensions, funds, and asset managers) to understand their strategic vision, corporate performance objectives, financial imperatives and key buying criteria.  We know the key decision makers, the key factors for approvals, and support them internally to make the right business case for executives, boards, and government approvals. KS also understands governmental regulations, influences, and parameters to ensure there is alignment and support throughout the process.

 

VALIDATION THROUGH BID PROCESS

KS works diligently to understand key attributes the Canadian company is looking for in a qualified contractor/advisor/supplier to Canada.  KS understands the parameters and criteria in which the final award will be based.  With this type of understanding, KS sources the Korean Corporation most suitable for the project.  As part of our services, we complete our own business and technical due diligence to ensure that the project meets the key mandate criteria of the Client.  KS is then in a position to recommend the Client to our network, and make sure that it get the right profile and priority for exclusive attention from the corporation.

 

KNOWLEDGE SHARING & DISSEMINATION

After KS finds the right project and matches with qualified prospective contractor/advisor/supplier, KS takes the responsibility for assisting in the information preparation including technical, financial, legal, and business documents. Understanding is key, as there is much lost in pure literal translation from English to Korean and vice versa. KS ensured there is alignment in terminologies, industry nuances, as well as business customs between the companies.

  4. Project Implementation Timeline

  5. Final Investment Decision Guidelines

  6. Property Geo-technical (if available)

    • Topographical Maps

    • Size of Project

    • Geophysical maps

  7. Engineering Report (if available)

  8. Infrastructure and Ownership

  9. Technical Information

  10. Other requested Information as Necessary

KS’s technical team will work closely with both the Canadian corporation and the Client to ensure everyone has the same understanding of all material.

 

NEGOTIATIONS & FACILITATION

Based on the information sharing and dissemination process, KS again will assess the interest levels of the different parties and bring the party most likely to complete the deal for further discussions to Canada.  KS acts as the facilitator for the meetings to ensure effective dialogue between the parties while making sure that each party has the same understanding and agreement.  As facilitator of the meetings, KS works with all parties on the cultural and business practice nuances to successfully gain consistency in information and understanding.

 

Finalizing & Closing

Once terms and conditions are negotiated and fully understood, the corporation must then prepare documentation internally within their organization for final decisions.  As KS takes the time to understand the decision-making process, we are effective in representing the elements required for closing and provide essential information to develop for final contract execution between the corporation and the Client.

KS provides further services with post Contract Agreement due diligence, legal, financial, site visits, and even arranged different contractors to finalize the project.

KS leverages key relationships where necessary throughout the process to educate and influence as necessary, and to work through last minute questions and concerns.
